Ashwin Chaudhry is responsible for evolving, implementing and re-strategizing India Investment Plans for foreign investors in India, and for identifying potential Alliance Partners for overseas companies in India & Indian companies overseas.
After having spent 14+ years working in New York, he is now based in New Delhi, India, working with global investors and corporations on their India investment strategies, and with Indian corporations on their overseas investment plans, acquisitions and business strategies. His range of experience spans Investment Management, Investment Banking as well as Consulting. Having worked in USA, Europe and India, he brings a depth of knowledge and expertise to his clients in navigating the complexities of the Indian market.
Mr. Chaudhry was previously Vice President at NATIXIS Alternative Investments in New York, for over six years, responsible for managing over $1 billion in alternative investments and hedge funds. Prior to that, he was a Director at Celestar Capital Advisors, LLC, managing an equally large investment portfolio, for four years. He also held positions as Research Analyst at AXA Alternative Advisors, as Investment Banking Analyst at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette / Credit Suisse Group, New York and in the Alternative Investment Strategies Division at Citibank, San Francisco.
He did his MA in International Finance and Economics from Brandeis University, USA, International Business Studies at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands and his BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
